Sintering layer of vacuum sintering furnace
The technical requirements of vacuum sintering furnace bottom are very strict. The sintering layer is the main working layer of furnace bottom in terms of its use and conditions. The sintering layer should bear the gravity of dynamic load during charging without damage, and bear the static load of all charges without deformation. Due to the high temperature, the sintering layer should have enough stability to resist the physical and chemical action of molten steel and slag. In addition, the inevitable damage of sintering layer along the whole molten pool area should be uniform, so as to ensure the normal smelting process.
The life, erosion and damage characteristics of the sintered layer depend on its quality and condition, sintering method and material composition.
It is impossible to sinter the basic furnace bottom with only one kind of magnesia, even at the high temperature that the top furnace of magnesia road brick can reach, because at this time, no matter what the particle size of magnesia is, the individual magnesia particles can not be sintered as a whole. The bottom sintering layer made of pure magnesia can't be solid because it cracks when the temperature changes sharply at the end and beginning of smelting. Therefore, the amount of low carbon steel open hearth slag added to pure magnesia depends on the content of MgO in magnesia. At the same time, because of this result, the sintered layer has plasticity at high temperature and will not be cracked when the temperature changes rapidly.
